electronicArtefacts Creative technology studio for complex digital systems

PRIVACY

How the site handles data.

Electronic Artefacts uses consent-based audience measurement. Google Analytics 4 is loaded only after explicit consent, and refusing analytics has no effect on access to the website.

Contact data

Email only when you write

If you contact the studio by email or through an external platform, the information you send is used only to answer your request and manage the conversation.

Local preferences

Stored in your browser

The site remembers interface preferences and your analytics consent choice in localStorage. The consent choice is kept for up to six months before the site asks again.

External services

Third-party platforms

Instagram, GitHub, SoundCloud and VASTE are external services with their own privacy rules. Opening them leaves the Electronic Artefacts site.

Technical providers

GitHub Pages, IONOS and Google

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages and its domain name is managed through IONOS. If you accept analytics, Google LLC processes audience-measurement data through Google Analytics 4.

Audience measurement

Consent before Google Analytics

Before consent, the site does not load the Google Analytics script and does not send analytics events to Google. After consent, the site can measure page views, referrers, broad device/browser information, session activity and public-site interactions to understand how the website is used.

Interaction events

Navigation, search and graph activity

If analytics is accepted, the site can send events for internal and outbound link clicks, file downloads, contact-intent links, language changes, site-search terms, filters, tabs, graph-node selections, section visibility, scroll-depth milestones, active-time milestones, likes and share actions. Obvious email addresses and phone numbers typed into search fields are masked before an event is sent.

Data minimisation

No intentional personal profiles

The implementation does not intentionally send names, email addresses, phone numbers, message contents, account identifiers, advertising user data or ad-personalisation signals to Google Analytics.

Retention

Kept only as needed

Email conversations are retained only for the time needed to answer and follow up on the request, then archived or removed according to the studio workflow.

COOKIES AND TRACKERS

Analytics cookies require consent

Google Analytics cookies are optional. You can accept or refuse them from the banner with the same level of effort, and you can reopen the choice from the footer.

Google Analytics 4

_ga and _ga_<container-id>

If analytics is accepted, GA4 may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id>. Google describes these cookies as used to distinguish users and keep session state, with a default duration of up to two years.

Consent mode

Advertising storage stays denied

The implementation uses Google consent signals with analytics storage granted only after opt-in. Advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalization remain denied.

Transfers and provider risk

Google may process data outside the EU

Google Analytics can involve transfers or access by Google entities outside the European Economic Area. This is why analytics is treated as optional and consent-based on this site.

Change your choice

Withdraw consent

Use the cookie preferences control in the footer to refuse analytics after accepting. The site then sends a denied consent signal and removes local Google Analytics cookies it can access.
