Research that becomes systems, methods and works.

Research at Electronic Artefacts is organised around active questions rather than a single doctrine. It connects software architecture, knowledge representation, cultural memory, creative practice and human-computer interaction, then tests those connections through prototypes, publications and operational systems.

Systems and infrastructure.

Runtime theory asks how complex systems can remain legible, adaptable and governed. Work on graph runtimes, contextual execution, event-driven architecture and observability becomes concrete through VASTE and related experiments.

Knowledge and transmission.

Knowledge graphs, metadata, linked data, provenance and digital preservation provide methods for keeping information connected and trustworthy across archives, public pages and changing interfaces.

Creative technology and perception.

Creative coding, sound, procedural graphics, multimodal AI and human-computer interaction are technical and cultural questions. Experiments examine what emerges when rules, people, media and environments interact.
