ELECTRONIC ARTEFACTS
Complex digital systems, made clear.
Electronic Artefacts is an independent creative technology and design studio. We define and build client products, develop proprietary systems, publish open-source tools, and release research-led cultural work. Strategy, interface design, software engineering, knowledge architecture and editorial practice are treated as parts of one coherent system.
PROPRIETARY TECHNOLOGY
VASTE is the runtime behind the studio’s knowledge systems.
VASTE is a reusable software foundation for products in which identity, context, relationships and permissions must remain coherent as the system grows. Its graph architecture supports durable entities and explicit connections instead of reducing knowledge to isolated pages or folders.
RESEARCH ATLAS
Active research questions, connected to the software that tests them.
Electronic Artefacts organizes research around questions. The current answer may be a program, a project, a publication, a repository or an unresolved experiment.
How can an AI understand someone during its very first conversation?
Conversation is being tested as an onboarding protocol that produces revisable context instead of a static profile.
How can speech datasets become reproducible, structured and privacy-first?
Voice Capture Studio tests local-first recording, metadata-rich exports and clear separation between capture and model training.
How can software become explainable through its own knowledge graph?
The public graph generates pages, identifiers, JSON-LD, search documents and relationship panels from shared source records.
THREE PRACTICES
One studio. Three distinct ways of working.
Each practice answers a different need, but all three share the same concern for clarity, durable structure and evidence. The result may be a product, a reusable system, a publication or a cultural work; the method always connects the visible surface to the architecture beneath it.
Digital products and platforms
Client work combines product definition, UX, interface systems and engineering. Engagements can begin with a new proposition, an existing platform that needs clearer structure, or a compromised and undocumented system that requires careful investigation before reconstruction.

Programs such as VASTE turn repeated architectural questions into maintained software. They support knowledge graphs, identity, contextual execution and modular product development, and can be evaluated through focused pilots, implementation partnerships or licensing discussions.
Explore programsResearch and artistic publishing
Research investigates technology, memory, culture and knowledge systems through notes, prototypes and publications. Artistic work gives those questions another form through sound, visual systems and evolving archives, keeping the studio connected to experimentation rather than a single commercial category.

Palimpsests: a five-act album cycle and evolving archive.
Palimpsests is a conceptual album by ORETH about memory, inheritance, transformation and the traces that survive. The work moves through origins, remembrance, lived experience, transcendence and heritage. Its public record connects the music to writing, visual material and archive entries so the project can continue to accumulate context over time.
SELECTED WORK
Products, platforms, open software and cultural systems with their role made explicit.
The project record distinguishes live client delivery, products in development, open-source software, proprietary infrastructure and cultural publishing. That context matters: it shows what was built, why it exists and how each result relates to the larger studio practice.
L’Œil de Meg
A photography portfolio and CRM ecosystem combining a public visual identity with the operational structure needed to manage client work. The project demonstrates how brand, UX and software can be designed as a single service.
AtypikHouse
A hospitality platform for curated unusual stays, immersive discovery, host listings, traveller profiles and booking flows. Its dossier connects market positioning and art direction to a concrete interface and product architecture.
Voice Capture Studio
A local-first browser recording studio for speech datasets, voice-over and dubbing workflows. It publishes a live demo, source repository and structured WAV plus metadata export model.
Vestiges
A flagship VASTE platform for mapping, preserving and activating living know-how across people, practices, materials, places and institutions. It treats provenance and durable relationships as core product features.
