The agentic turn is not only a story about more capable models. It creates new boundaries between agents, browser interfaces, publishers and audiences. Those boundaries need protocols, but protocols become useful only when paired with authority, provenance and intelligible public records.

Three current signals

A2A formalizes collaboration between independent agent applications. WebMCP explores structured actions inside the browser rather than opaque screen control. The EU transparency framework turns synthetic-content provenance and disclosure into an immediate implementation concern.

Together they describe one system: delegation upstream, action at the interface and accountability at publication.

Editorial position

The collection avoids forecasts and product rankings. Each article separates implemented specifications, experimental proposals and regulatory obligations. It favors primary sources and translates them into design consequences for VASTE, the Knowledge Hub and Electronic Artefacts cultural production.

Paths through the graph

Architecture readers can move from AI agents to MCP, A2A and contextual execution. Web readers can connect browser software, HCI and WebMCP. Cultural readers can connect generative AI, C2PA, provenance, Palimpsests and public transparency.

What comes next

The collection should evolve when A2A or WebMCP reaches a materially different maturity level and when final European implementation guidance changes the operational reading. Future additions should respond to evidence, not a publishing quota.
