SKOS is a W3C data model for publishing thesauri, taxonomies, classification schemes and other knowledge organization systems on the Web.
SKOS represents concepts, labels, notes, hierarchies, associations and mappings without requiring the full formal expressivity of OWL.
It is relevant to Electronic Artefacts disciplines, tags, multilingual labels and future vocabulary exports.
